A busy day at home

It was the school Christmas Fayre today. Mrs H was running the Tombola for a change (she is usually in the kitchen), and she had her niece to help her. It is hard work when she is here, as she is quite energetic, for want of a better word.

Last night of the panto tonight. It all went very well. The first half was not as good as then second half. But Saturday night, all hell lets loose, when the official script becomes a distant memory.

Heavens only knows what time he will get in. They usually have a wind down session at the end, a bit of food and drink, but it sometimes goes on for quite a while. He has to be back at the village hall at around 11:00 in the morning to help tidy up. They are then going for a meal at a local pub, as a kind of celebration. He says he is going back to his flat in the evening. I think his flat mate is missing him a bit.

Youngest has not had his medication today. I’m going to try and keep him off it tomorrow too. There has been a couple of minor ‘episodes’, but nothing to really mention. This will be the first full weekend with no medication at all. Fingers crossed.

Saturday … the blog continues

Well it has been a reasonable if a little boring day. Eldest at work and Mrs H running the cafe at the school fayre. Apparently it went quite well. They don’t seem to get the numbers that they used to, but a lot of people cannot be bothered. That left me and the youngest ‘home alone’ . We had a bit of shopping to do, but he did not want to go at all. It was the quickest shopping trip ever I think. Forty-five minutes all in, and that includes driving there and back and parking too !!!! The rest of the time was spent doing jobs…yawn.

Did anyone see the new lottery show ???? Guestimation !! What a load of Nick Knowles rubbish. This tripe will be lucky to finish the series, let alone get a second one. Who is Nick Knowles anyway ? I thought he was a plumber or an electrician, not a serious presenter. Anyway, calling the programme rubbish was being kind. What made it worse was that I did not even get one number on either the Thunderball or Lotto !!!!

What else….did not do a walk today (again), I am getting out of the routine before I have even got into it. I am tempted to get my bike sorted, and go for a ride as an alternative to walking. It will probably be a better exercise, and may help to get the old stomach down a bit.

I am going to try and get the two lThe Red Lion - Bramhamads to go for a brief walk tomorrow, just to get out of the house. Even if it is only to the Red Lion. Could be an interesting hour or two. It probably will not happen, but fingers crossed. Saying that, I don’t know who will be the first to say, they are not going. It’s even money on both of them to say no! It will be nice it it happens. I will report back tomorrow.

We may have found the reason why the youngest ‘kicks off’ at around tea-time. I noticed that he was holding his ears, and getting upset whilst I was cooking. The extractor hood is quite noisy, and I thought it might be that. I turned it off, and he settled down very very quickly !!!! I will try this again tomorrow. I will have the fan on, and see if it has the same effect when I turn it off. Could be the answer. Quite often, we have the extractor on when he is eating.

Right, I think that is it for today. Quite a lot to say I have not done much.

Day seven …

It’s true …… been doing a daily blog for seven days (pat self on back.) When I started last Sunday, I had no idea, that I could do three days in a row, let alone seven.

I have a new header picture. It was one I took on my mobile phView from Windmill Roadone a few weeks ago. Mrs H and me were out for a walk, and I liked the colours. It was up on Windmill Road, which has quite a steep incline if you walk it from Clifford. I took two photos and this is the second one. They are not bad picture, to say they are from a mobile.

No walk today. The rain just made it a no go. I went to the pub at lunch time (again). I needed to get away. G*** and her bloody phone was driving me nuts. How difficult can it be to swap a phone ???? Of course it was not her fault … everybody else was at fault.

The drive home was a bit scary. The rain was very heavy in parts on the A1, and most vehicles were driving with care. Of course there was the odd exception. The usual ‘loonies’ in their 4×4’s, driving like idiots in the outside lane.

It’s the school fayre tomorrow. Me and the youngest will not go. He cannot really cope with these days, and if I’m honest, I cannot cope either. And I suppose it’s not really fair on him…we’ve been telling him all week, that Friday is his last day.

York - nightime Eldest seems to have had a good time in York last night. Mrs H said, that he absolutely stank of booze this morning. He does not have a clue when he went to bed, but then again, when I was that age, I think I had nights like that…but I don’t remember.

My new MSN friend, J**** came back yesterday. It’s nice to chat again. I’ve just said, that it is strange to think, that 3 weeks ago, we just said ‘hello/how are you/goodbye’ in chat and now we chat properly most nights.

That’s it for now.
