So….it’s now the weekend

The ‘no drink in the house’ project went as well as could be expected. We both did four days. I did go out on Wednesday for a couple, when S**** came up for his drama rehearsal and had a whiskey when we got back, but nothing in the the house until Friday. Did I feel any better for it ?????? To be honest, I did not feel any different really. I missed it, but it wasn’t a problem. I was fully expecting to see a bit of weight loss …. no chance. In fact I may have put on a pound or two during the week. Don’t know what we will do next week. R*** is on respite, and Mrs H likes to go socialise when he’s away. So it could be that we go out on Tuesday (quiz nite) and Wednesday (drama night) too.

My appraisal went okay. No problems. It’s not like real appraisals, whereby your performance is linked to your pay increase. It’s basically a ‘this is what you’re going to do this year’ type of meeting. It’s proper name is ‘Personal Development Review’, so you see what mean. It’s supposed to identify training needs and the like. It has yet to do so.

The issues I am having with the colleague at work continue. One minute the person is stabbing me in the back, then the next, they are chatting to me as if nothing has happened. I don’t hold grudges, but I don’t forget !!! And it would appear, that the whole office is in my corner (which makes a change.) To be continued……

Day two

All still on track with the ‘no drink in the house’ plan. Although it has been a bit of a stressful day, I got through without an issue. However, a few problems at work, which I cannot go into except to say, that someone in the office is treading on very thin ice !!!!!

Guess who woke up at about 2:45 this morning. I still think, that he may be having bad dreams. He was very agitated, when I went into his room. I gave him his medication, and he settled down after about an hour, so that was not too bad. He currently has an obsession with The Power Rangers. He is watching a VHS tape over and over, and watching the old series on YouTube. He has now decided that he wants a blue Power Rangers helmet !!!! They are available on eBay for around £170.00 !!!!! I think his luck may be out there.

Appraisal tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes, but I don’t think I’m going to have too many problems there.

A busy day at home

It was the school Christmas Fayre today. Mrs H was running the Tombola for a change (she is usually in the kitchen), and she had her niece to help her. It is hard work when she is here, as she is quite energetic, for want of a better word.

Last night of the panto tonight. It all went very well. The first half was not as good as then second half. But Saturday night, all hell lets loose, when the official script becomes a distant memory.

Heavens only knows what time he will get in. They usually have a wind down session at the end, a bit of food and drink, but it sometimes goes on for quite a while. He has to be back at the village hall at around 11:00 in the morning to help tidy up. They are then going for a meal at a local pub, as a kind of celebration. He says he is going back to his flat in the evening. I think his flat mate is missing him a bit.

Youngest has not had his medication today. I’m going to try and keep him off it tomorrow too. There has been a couple of minor ‘episodes’, but nothing to really mention. This will be the first full weekend with no medication at all. Fingers crossed.
