These were taken on the River Wharfe between Bolton Abbey and Burnsall. We were walking in the area just a couple of weeks before my heart valve operation. It was this trip that both K*** and me realised how bad I had got. It was hard work and only just over six miles each way!
Wow, six miles is a long way to walk for normal people, Twice that even worse. Add a heart problem, and you are amazing! 🙂

It would have been about 2.5 hours each way, with a pub lunch half way. Ten years ago it was just a good walk.

I walk about 2-3 miles a day when it’s not 108, and most people I know don’t come close to that. We drive a lot in CA.
