Ideas required please

For some time now, I have been toying with the idea of changing my blog theme. I’ve used the current theme for quite a while and whilst I like the layout and the features, I feel it is time for a change. Now that’s where I have a problem. There are so many themes to choose from and I don’t know which theme would be best for my blog style. I tend to have a more text based blog, with images that I hope enhance the words.

So, I’m looking for help. I prefer the side bar to be on the right hand side (as you look at it) and like to see the whole of the post rather than the style that shows only the first few lines. I’ve tried the favourites such as “Twenty Twelve” and “Misty Look” and it is that kind of view I’m interested.

Oh, and another point, is that they have to be free themes. I’m from Yorkshire after all.

Sunday Write-Up – July 2015 (Better late than never!)

Simon was really getting into his stride. His knack for pulling people to pieces seemed to have have improved since his last talk. I say ‘improved’ but it’s probably not an improvement to his audience. Simon seemed to forget that these people paid his wages. His talks were quite renowned for giving his audience that weird feeling, that although his thoughts were probably correct they were not expressed with any sense of sympathy.

It appeared that his need to be provocative over rode his respect for the very people that came to listen to him. Saying that, they still come in their droves to hear him. Even the frequent misquotes, such as “… the might Oak grows from a tiny acorn …” and his misplaced references to Confucious, do not deter them.
