Yesterday, my renewal notice came. It was only slightly less than last years quote. So, I thought, it’s back to getting a quote via one the comparison websites. Logged onto the first one, retrieved my details and amazingly, the lowest price, came in at £150.00 less than my renewal quote. After a bit of changing about to add business cover for me, and lower some the excess, the best price was now £110.00 less. That’s the one for me, or so I thought.

     This morning, I got an reminder email from one of the other comparison sites. I updated my details on that, and retrieved the quotes. Now this is were it gets silly. The company that offered me the lowest price from the first comparison site, were now offering me the same policy for £50.00 less than they quoted me before. Unbelievable! But wait, that’s not the strangest thing about all this. The company that I am currently with, quoted me on the second comparison site at £150.00 less than the renewal quote, for exactly the same cover.
